The trip you are
taking anyway
On wasl-a, captains set where they are heading, and riders going the same way ride along for less. Riders save, and captains earn on a trip they were making for free.

Frequently asked questions
How is the fare lower on wasl-a?
The captain is going that way anyway, so there is no detour for you. That is why the "on your way" fare is lower than the regular fare — and you see the discount before you book.
What if I book a ride for tomorrow and no captain confirms?
Shortly before your time we send the nearest available captain at the same price you paid — you never pay extra.
I am a captain — when do I get paid?
Your earnings collect in your piggy bank and are paid out on the regular payout schedule to your bank account, mobile wallet or InstaPay. Money you lock for a savings goal stays locked until the goal date, unless you use an emergency withdrawal.
Do I need to drive full-time?
No. wasl-a is built for people who drive alongside their job: set your daily trips and pick up riders on your way there and back.
Can I pay cash?
No. Every payment is electronic, from a wallet you top up by card. It protects both rider and captain and keeps every pound on record.
Where does wasl-a operate?
We started in Alexandria, Egypt. The app shows the captains available around you on the map.
